Education: Josefina Kountouri received her degree in Rural and Surveying Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2018. She continued her studies in the department of architectural engineering at in Interdepartmental Program of Postgraduate Studies “Protection Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments” Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where she obtained her MSc in Protection, Preservation and Restoration of Architectural Monuments in 2020.
Professional background / participation in funded projects: Josefina Kountouri is a graduate of the Department of Rural and Surveying Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the field of topography and geodesy, with an emphasis on topography. Her diploma thesis was the three-dimensional topographic footprint of Vlatadon abbey in Thessaloniki with a Laser Scanner. She completed her master’s degree in the interdepartmental program of protection, maintenance and restoration of architectural monuments of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her master’s thesis was on the Three-dimensional footprint of the Great Cistern of the heptapyrgion and the Towers that border it. She is a person who possesses the spirit of teamwork and cooperation and has the ability to work excellently in a group of individuals. During her studies she has worked and collaborated with many people of different specialties and ages to complete tasks. She has program, organizational and administrative skills, self-control and initiative. She can work under pressure, solve problems, make decisions and initiatives. She has the ability to communicate, create good human relationships and bargain. Due to the fact that the postgraduate course she completed was interdepartmental program she has worked and collaborated successfully with people from different fields of study. All these qualifications and skills have been created from university work. At the same time she is an experienced user in several software such as Microsoft office, Autodek AutoCad and Windows Mac, Os. She is also an independent user of Faro Scene software, Agisoft PhotoScan Professional, bentley point tools – cloud processing software, MathWorks – MATLAB, Reality Capture, databases. She possesses high determination in achieving great foals in her area of specialisation. She is a member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) and Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE).
