Education: Nikoletta Papageorgiou is currently a PhD candidate in Protection of cultural heritage sites from natural hazards at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). She received her Bachelor Degree in History and Archaeology from University of Cyprus (UCY) in 2015. She continued her studies at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), where she was awarded a M.Sc. in Geoinformatics and Geospatial Technology with Distinction.

Professional background / participation in funded projects: Since August 2018, Nikoletta is employed by CUT as a Research Assistant. She has worked in various archaeological excavations and archaeological intensive survey project in Cyprus (2013-2016). Currently she participates in RESEARCH project (REmote SEnsing techniques for ARCHaeology- H2020-MSCA-RISE).

Research interests: Remote Sensing Applications; monitoring of CH, natural and anthropogenic hazards in relation to ancient monuments and sites, Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.) and Geometric Documentation intended for archaeological research and Cultural Heritage.
