A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Monday, 10th of May 2021 between the Cyprus Research and Innovation Center (CyRIC, https://www.cyric.eu/) and the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence (ECoE) of the Cyprus University of Technology (https://eratosthenes.org.cy/).
Within the framework of cultivating the relations between the two research institutions and the joint effort for mutual understanding and promotion of scientific and educational cooperation, the Memorandum of Understanding aims to expand scientific, research, educational and other cooperation between the two organisations.
The Memorandum of Understanding covers the following areas:
✍🏻 Faculty or student or other exchanges formally recognized by both, ECoE and CyRIC
✍🏻 Mutual promotion of Entrepreneurial and Innovation Culture including the creation of an Open Innovation Ecosystem in Earth Observation (EO)
✍🏻 CyRIC will introduce ECoE and provide targeted access to the European Business Innovation Center Network (EBN)
✍🏻 Facilitation of collaboration of ECoE, through CyRIC, with innovation-based incubators, accelerators, clusters, start-ups and innovative enterprises.
✍🏻 Mutual participation in research projects and proposals
✍🏻 Promotion of entrepreneurial and innovation culture to ECoE by CyRIC through events and coaching services, and Business support
✍🏻 Mutual technology and knowledge transfer
✍🏻 Establishing an Earth Observation (EO) and Remote Sensing Cluster within the Cyprus Digital innovation Hub (CyDIHub)
✍🏻 Mutual exchange of information, scientific documentation and publications
✍🏻 IP and Innovation Diagnostics support by CYRIC
✍🏻 Mutual access to infrastructures
