Dr. Panayiotis PHILIMIS

Dr Panayiotis Philimis is Founding and Managing Director at CyRIC Cyprus Research and Innovation Center, certified EU-BIC. Philimis is also Founder and CEO at Gravity Ventures Ltd that invests and incubates startups. He is a Member of the Board of Directors in a number of organisations including European Business Network (EBN), Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation (RPF), Cyprus National Research and Education Network (CyNet). He has over 15 years’ experience in design and development of novel products, patenting, QM and laboratory procedures, design of analytical and testing instruments, materials/product testing and conformity. Philimis is also a contributing Member of the Innovation Committee of Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), Committee of Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and Member of the Cyprus Business Angels (CyBAN). Passionate about research and innovation, he is a Scientific Expert for the European Commission and mentor and judge in various start-ups initiatives and competitions
