Presentation of the Excelsior2020eu at the Alexander College in Pafos by the Coordinator of the H2020 Teaming Project Prof. Diofantos Hadjimitsis (18.12.2019)

On the 18th of December 2019, Prof. Diofantos Hadjimitsis; Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of the Cyprus University of Technology and Coordinator of the Excelsior2020eu H2020 Teaming Project presented an overview of the EXCELSIOR Project to the students and staff of the Alexander College in Pafos. The purpose of his presentation was to promote the benefits of establishing ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence for Earth Surveillance and Space-Based Monitoring of the Environment for the academic sector including both education and research pillars as well as the industrial; governmental and societal (organizations and citizens) sectors in Cyprus. Furthermore, his presentation aims to promote the use of Remote Sensing and Earth Observation and familiarize the audience with the objectives and benefits of the EXCELSIOR Project. During his visit at the Alexander College Prof. Hadjimitsis had the opportunity to meet with Mr. George Palas acting as the General Director of the Alexander College in Pafos and discuss the opportunities of the collaboration between the two organizations.
