EXCELSIOR participants Dr. Nicholas Kyriakides and Dr. Thomaida Polydorou visited the University of Brighton on the 30th of October 2019 to conduct experimental testing on geopolymer concrete, as part of a project collaboration with Dr. Ourania Tsioulou, funded under the Royal Society International Exchanges Grant.
Following the completion of the experimental research at the University of Brighton Civil Engineering laboratories, EXCELSIOR participants met with Principal Lecturers Dr. Andreas Lampropoulos, Dr. Pierfrancesco Cacciola and Senior Lectures Dr. Ourania Tsioulou and Dr. Alessandro Tombari, to discuss research collaboration opportunities under the EXCELSIOR Phase II Project. The EXCELSIOR participants introduced the EXCELSIOR Project, presented the research interests and overall objectives of ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence and discussed ideas for research collaboration with the University of Brighton colleagues.
