The EXCELSIOR Project and the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence joined the ceremony for the appointment of the first Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Mr. Kyriacos Kokkinos by the President of the Republic of Cyprus H.E. Nicos Anastasiades at the presidential palace on Friday, the 28th of February 2020.
The appointment of Mr Kokkinos and the establishment of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy is an important reform that is leading Cyprus to the new digital era. The Deputy Ministry, which will act as the central body for coordinating and implementing policies that govern research, innovation, and digital politics, was a need that is now becoming a reality.
