Mrs Maria Prodromou, PhD student/Research Assistant at the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence of the Cyprus University of Technology attended the SilviLaser 2019 conference in Brazil. There she made a presentation on the development and application of laser scanning techniques to improve the understanding of forest ecosystem functioning and facilitate their sustainable management through improved forest assessment and inventory. The conference was organised by the University of Sao Paolo (USP), the IPEF Forestry Institute and Embrapa the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation and took place on 8-10 October 2019.
