Education: He is a graduate of the Department of Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master of Arts in Education from UWE Bristol. He is currently a PhD candidate on the field of Development of a novel algorithm for water resources management in East Med/Cyprus using remote sensing and mathematical modelling.
Professional background: Anastasis Evagorou is a teacher of Mathematics in Lyceum A’ Ethnarchis Makarios in Paphos and has been teaching mathematics to senior students for the last 20 years. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Cyprus Mathematical Society for the last 6 years. He is working as organisation committee in the EUROMATH conference and is the leader of the Cypriot teams representing Cyprus in international mathematical competitions for the last 6 years.
Research interests: His research interests are in the field of mathematical model development and how these will be improved by using Remote Sensing.
